Stamped: The Making of America 250

A nation assembled from its own fragments.

Stamped: The Making of America 250

More than 1,200 individually photographed U.S. postage stamps, spanning 1927–1990, become both material and metaphor. Through Ars Musiva, official symbols gather into images of liberty, labor, immigration, justice, invention, and aspiration. From a distance, an icon appears. Up close, hundreds of small histories emerge.
